Milepost 0 on the RGS was located at Ridgeway, Colorado.  From the beginning, Ridgeway was the the principal terminal on the RGS.  The original terminal, built north of town, burned in 1906.  The "new" RGS facilities were located on the eastern edge of town and consisted of a 50' turntable, roundhouse/shops, sand house, 50,000 gallon water tank, office building and several other structures.  The Ridgeway depot was constructed by the Denver & Rio Grande for the joint use of both railroads.

Shop forces are busy preparing motive power for the days line-up.  RGS 20, 25 and 42 occupy the first three stall of the roundhouse while Goose #7 and another unidentified Goose occupy the remaining two stalls.  K-27 #461 is sitting on the turntable.

Vance Junction, milepost 37.8 was the junction point where the Telluride Branch left the mainline.  There were two long passing sidings and a spur with a coal trestle and Burnett & Clifton coal chutes  for fueling locomotives.

RGS K-27's #461 & 455 have a Ridgeway bound stock extra well in hand.
